Madness, Money and Puppets

Sorry that I missed a week. I was spending all my time getting some money for video games.

Finally, I got enough money together for a Japanese 3DS with Ridge Racer, Street Fighter, Nintendogs and Samurai Warriors. Sadly, I had to pass on buying the Professor Layton game because everything else drained my funds.

Unfortunately I'm skipping this week as well since I'm working on subtitling some videos of puppets on YouTube.

I'm just finishing up with my translations of the first three pages of Samurai Usagi chapter 11.

Sorry but no pages today. Since I'm actually doing a chapter, this time I'm going to try to post everything next Wednesday. I will however post the title page. Enjoy.

I Translated My First Chapter...

Only it's not really a chapter and it isn't fully translated. Since I don't have the skill to complete this, anyone is free to use these files as long as they give Illitranslation credit for being a scanner, cleaner and partial translator.

I find it weird what I am and am not able to translate but as long as you can follow the story then I've done as well as I hoped I would. How long it took me to do it is a little upsetting though.

Back On My Feet!

I almost went a whole month with nothing to show for it. At least I kept posting to guilt me into doing some work.

Only two pages today. I wanted to complete the omake this week but ran short on time. Most of it is done so there will be a weekend update as well so I can start on the actual story.

Catch 22

Nothing this week either. Sorry to say I have to redo a lot of work since my computer broke down. On top of that I wasted three days trying to fix it and save what I could have easily redone in the same time.

A very disheartening lesson in properly backing-up my work. Now I have an eight gigabyte USB drive to keep my scans on.

Alien Abduction

No update this week either. I can't say why because I don't remember what I did this week. No, I don't think I was abducted. I think it's because my life is so boring.

No Excuses

No update this week. I've no real reason why but since no one reads this; it doesn't really matter does it?

For those with no humor the title on this post is a joke. I'm surprisingly thick skinned, especially for an introvert so it is best to assume I'm not angry and it's just me trying to lighten the mood. That is unless I make it clear that it is otherwise.

These pages are from volume two. I worked my butt off today to get the third page done. Shino taking Gosuke's haori was just too cute to leave for a week. I say done but obviously there is still some work to do. As expected, I am having some problems with translations. It took me days to figure out part of page one because I couldn't confidently match internet kanji with Mr. Fukushima's handwriting. Maybe there will be some updates on these translations after I improve a little.

To be clear some words will be left untranslated if I feel like they are common enough for readers to understand. I only translated the title because I didn't like the sound of 'omake usagi'.

Fickle Problems

Okay this is the third time I've created a blog for my Japanese translation project. Each time was just a slight change but each felt necessary for a better name association. Thankfully I feel that this is the last of my fickle changes for this blog.

Unfortunately I have yet to translate anything  but will start doing so today. Hopefully when I get started it will go much more quickly then it has up to now. I might even have a couple rough pages to put up soon to show I'm not lazing about. Regardless of whether there is anything new I will be updating every hump day at the very least. Mostly because I like saying "hump day". I may miss a regular update sometimes so please let me hear about it when I do.
